My scientific fields of interest are related to the reactions of neutral species in the gas phase for dense interstellar clouds and planetary atmospheric chemistry. To understand the elementary chemical processes, i.e. behaviour of the reaction kinetics at low temperature or reaction dynamics at very low collision energy, we perform experiments with different apparatuses:
- CRESU (Cinétique de Réaction en Ecoulement Supersonique Uniforme) = Supersonic flow reactor with Laval nozzles
- Crossed molecular beam apparatus which associates pulsed nozzles and pulsed lasers.
In collaboration with theoreticians, statistical kinetics calculations are performed to complete experimental product branching ratios determinations, as well as to extrapolate the experimental rate constant data to others temperatures and pressures.
