Dr. Laurent Pagani

Laurent PaganiI am a heterodyne instrumentalist, observer and editing/running radiative transfer models and chemical models (especially in depleted prestellar cores to study the deuteration of molecules in the gas phase. See e.g. Pagani et al. 2009 A&A 494, 623), I have also a strong interest in the dust component of molecular dark clouds. My research themes are concentrated mainly on low mass star formation, especially in the prestellar core phase. On the chemical side, I am most interested in better constraining the deuteration of species and beyond the evolution and contraction of prestellar cores through the o/p H2 ratio evolution measurement as explained in my paper. Though I am quite linked to L183 (7 papers on this source today), I am also working on other cores (L1689B, L1506C, to name a few). I have also been quite involved in the quest for O2 (also 7 papers) and still am with Herschel. The chemistry of this species is still unclear and I would be interested to understand it.
